The National Group Fixed Solutions reviewed the most important projects that have been accomplished in cooperation with ministries, agencies and institutions in the fields of digital solutions and information security within the framework of the state’s vision to upgrade the system of services provided to citizens, as well as moving towards digital transformation services, securing information infrastructure and protecting data
Eng. Mahmoud Tawfik, CEO of the National Group Fixed Solutions, said that the group is developing an integrated digital platform capable of accommodating all services provided to the Egyptian citizen, and also building a digital identity platform, indicating that through this platform citizens can obtain services personally. After confirming his eligibility to digitally access his data on the platform, and all technical solutions have been fully developed by the minds of Egyptian youth who are able to participate in this national achievement, which is done through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and cooperates with all parties and ministries participating within the system
Tawfiq added, in a press release,: “Within the framework of developing the services system, the group participated in building a unified platform for secured electricity services in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, through which more than 900,000 citizens were able to submit code meter requests electronically in an easy and accessible manner, explaining , That the volume of requests for units submitted amounted to 2 million requests for units, without the need to go to service centers at the time of the complete closure in order to facilitate the citizens, and the rest of the services are being completed to reduce the burdens and prevent overcrowding on services to become fully electronic
Tawfiq indicated that during the year 2020, a number of digital platforms were launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including the Student Scientific Supervision Platform, which aims to speed up the completion of procedures for placing male and female students under scientific supervision through automating the work cycle, starting from Students submit their documents to the Central Administration of Scholarships through the platform, obtain all the necessary approvals, and electronically document the enrollment of students, whether through the cultural offices of the ministry abroad or Egyptian embassies and consulates, and ending with sending the documents electronically to the Recruitment and Mobilization Department to complete the procedures for deferring recruitment and issuing travel permits electronically to those concerned
Tawfiq added that the year 2020 witnessed the launch of the “Study in Egypt” platform, which aims to provide and facilitate services for foreign students to study in Egyptian universities, explaining that the platform is integrated and linked to all parties concerned with the file of foreign students, with the aim of ending university admission procedures, explaining that it is linked to government universities, the Supreme Council of Universities and the Department of International Students, and private universities in the second phase, pointing out that the platform aims to facilitate the student’s obtaining a study visa to enter the country, and direct communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies abroad and the central administration for expatriates
The CEO of the National Group Fixed Solutions confirmed that the group was keen to have the basic elements in place to be able to sustain strategic projects entrusted to it such as project management teams “research and development – software development”, as well as compatibility with international standards in the use of advanced technologies and compliance with security standards. Cyber, stressing that the state has adopted the executive regulations of the law to combat information technology crimes as well as the law on data protection, and the group seeks in accordance with the strategy of expanding the provision of digital transformation and cybersecurity services to work to raise the efficiency of the support services provided to clients and to stand on a sustainable and adaptable operating model and open partnerships and business in the Middle East and Africa
Tawfiq explained that the state has paid great attention over the past six years to giving Egyptian companies and national groups the opportunity to participate in national projects, especially projects emanating from the national program “Digital Egypt”, as opportunities became available to the national group represented by Fixed Solutions for digital transformation services. Which began in 2007, with the hands and minds of developers and creative Egyptian youth, to enter into the digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
